I am going to enter the idea I thought of into the "littleBIGidea" competition. Four people from different year levels (grade 3-4, 5-6 & 7-8) will be selected to go to Sydney to compete for the grand prize. The winner from each year level will be chosen and will fly to the USA visiting NASA Kennedy Space Centre, Epcot Theme Park at Disney World and Ripley's Believe It or Not. Nine runner ups will win $1,000 and 12 runner ups will get a science kit worth $500 for their school. If you would like to enter, the link is here: https://www.littlebigidea.com.au/
Here is my littleBIGidea.

I came up with an idea which I think can help raise people's awareness of litter and animal endangerment. We could put signs on bins which show pictures of animals trapped in litter with words making people think twice about littering, like they do with smoking ads and posters. Some animals are only in certain places around the world, so for example, signs with marine animals would be placed around beaches, signs with pets placed around neighbourhoods etc. It could even become a competition for school students to create their own signs. My signs are below.

Fact of the day: RSPCA get over 7,000 phone calls a year about litter-related animal incidents.
